"Primate Contemplation"
Nestled high among the emerald canopy of Costa Rica, this little Howler Monkey pauses in his sanctuary of leaves. Bathed in golden light, he takes a quiet moment to contemplate, to rest, and to reflect—finding peace in the gentle rhythm of the forest around him.
The Life You Save…
Sometimes the life you save is that of one of God’s creatures—small, vulnerable, and caught in a struggle it cannot escape alone. Such was the case when my friend Aaron and I came upon a weary green iguana, trapped between the unforgiving bars of a steel fence in Costa Rica.
Its strength was fading, its body pressed tight against cold metal, with no hope of freedom unless someone intervened. With a simple piece of pipe, we pried the steel just wide enough to grant release. For a moment, the iguana lingered—still, as if gathering itself—before darting away into the forest, free once more to bask in the sun and live out its days among the trees.
A reminder: sometimes salvation comes in the form of small mercies, and the life you save may be more than you realize.

"Male Green Iguana on the Golf Course"
Each Morning Iguanas come out into the open to sun themselves to get up to temperature.  They then head for the trees and bushes.

"The Red Eyed Tree Frog"
This red eyed tree frog is just one of many varieties of frog found in Costa Rica.  Unlike several of its relatives, this frog is not poisonous.

"Green Male Iguana"
As we cruised up the river we could view different species of birds and animals.  This is just one of many Green Male Iguanas we saw.  Iguanas in Costa Rica are among the largest I have ever seen.  They are simply magnificent.
"Jesus Lizard"
This fellow is known as a Jesus Lizard because it can and does run across water instead of swimming.  I had the privilege of observing this behavior several years ago in Aruba.
